Special focus lies on empowering and integrating the next generation.
The new public website serves as a repository of all topic-related projects and activities of the UNSA Vienna’s teams. The key focus is on actions and people.

knowledge hub with public page and internal collaborative research area
Lead organization:
FU Berlin
funded by:
German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)
From 2010 until 2015, the NFG completed a major project dealing with “External views on the EU as a Civilian Power – India and China in Comparison”. The project was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) within its initiative “Europa von Außen gesehen” (External Views of Europe). It was an Associated Project of the KFG Research College “The Transformative Power of Europe” at the Otto-Suhr-Institute of Freie Universität Berlin.
The NFG research fellows formed binational teams that combined interdisciplinary backgrounds with professional experience in policy and academia. They all used the internal working area for research collaboration, including the use of a jointly created bibliography, for instance.

This unique knowledge space provides selected, high-quality information on the issue of femicide: the gender related killings of women and girls. It addresses policy and decision-makers at all levels, actors from the criminal justice system, practitioners, civil society activists, academics, and individuals concerned with this horrible phenomenon.
A prototype of this platform was presented and launched in May 2017 on the occasion of the 26th session of the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (22-26 May, 2017). Read UNODC’S press statement. It was upgraded in May 2018 and relaunched in 2021.
